About Margaret Frost - click to expand >>
For as long as I can remember I have had a strong God-given creative gift, that has joyfully expressed itself in many ways; drawing, painting, ceramics, designing and making patchwork wall hangings, designing and making Special Event clothing for clients.
My Art Expression in acrylic and watercolour dominate my time now, but I also use ink, watercolour pencils, and pastels, appreciating each for their versatility.
Art Inspiration
I have used a diverse range of subjects for my works from nature to abstract. I am inspired by anything that hits my emotional button at the time and needs to be explored.
I continue to learn and grow as an Artist and am looking forward to what the future holds. Life is such an adventure when I explore the possibilities.
This quote by Danny Kaye, “Life is a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint on it you can” inspires my creativity.

An idea, a thought, an 'ah ha' revelation starts off a series of 'maybe' explorations in the mind. Warm fuzzy clues lead to 'what if' dire predictions, followed by golden expectation, and the process starts all over again going in multiple directions until a decision is made, resolution and resolve.

The peaceful night sky transforms almost magically into a pulsating electric ballet of green, magenta and purple dancing across the horizon. A display that is riveting to behold, daring the viewer not to miss any of it. The landscape of stark opposites, peace and pulsation, a visual feast to behold.

The speed and the wake creating patterns, tell of the adrenalin laden drivers having the time of their lives racing each other around the waterway. I love colour and movement and so was drawn to create an exciting painting incorporating the ever changing patterns being carved by the jets.

The water arrives from far in the tropical north, the flowing life-giving liquid gold. The normally parched dry inland lake springs to life again. The contrast with the arid landscape couldn't be more striking or amazing. The opportunity is rare, but birds will arrive soon to nest in their thousands, (how do they know?) before the baking heat dries the lake again. Australia, land of extremes.
